Ive got a playlist in my I tunes called "Funky Electronic" This playlist is indicative of the truly Cyclical nature of music and pop culture to a certain extent. Kim Ann Foxman  Vocalist in the Amazing  Music machine that is  Hercules & Love Affair Bring back a  Synth, overly electronic but inherently funky, bass driven style that is weird, but delicious.  This genre has many different names "Nu-Disco" seems to be the most prominent.  This is the kind of music that makes me want to dance...Its Funky & electronic.  Well done. Will be incorporating that into the mix this Saturday 2/5 @ Chi-Cha Lounge .

I came across this dude- "Danny Dance"  A house music dj & producer that  made this  very Bro-Friendly House remix of the Doobie Brothers 'What a fool believes' I really like this approach of taking classic rock & old school music and putting a soulful house beat beneath it. Well done.

Very fun night with a great friend and great kids, I was  re-introduced to "The Wop" a  southern rap- Instructional dance song, similar to "The dougie" and "walking it out" I was def in shock when the kids requested this song and really got hype to it.  I dont know exactly when this came out, but i am guessing late 06 early 07... apparently it is still hot. Here is a deliciously ignorant instructional video  of "The wop"  from youtube  by the brilliant mind that came up with this... J-dash.

  My favorite variation from his video is the "kill the roach" move.  SMH.  Wow. that is all i can say. wow.

All in all this was a great party, the surprise was well executed and all the kids had a great time.  Thank you wilkin's family for having me & happy Birthday Aja!
